Your new role
In this dynamic role, you will take the lead in overseeing the development of the project scope, budget, and schedule of our process project within our gold mine operation, which is entering the pre-construction phase. You will be responsible for ensuring strict compliance with engineering standards, regulations, and safety protocols to protect the environment and workers.
You will be responsible for managing and allocating resources with precision, optimizing project execution to achieve the best possible outcomes. You will conduct regular inspections on site to monitor progress and resolve problems.
Your strategic mindset will be crucial in developing and implementing comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction strategies that align with the project's goals and objectives.
You will work closely with various collaborators in the operation to fully understand their needs and develop designs that meet the requirements of our future operation.
A key aspect of your role will be fostering a collaborative environment and promoting effective communication among the engineering, procurement, and construction teams. Your leadership will inspire teamwork and drive the project forward, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and working towards a common vision.
You will collaborate with suppliers to explore, select and adopt state-of-the-art technologies, enabling safe, efficient and high-performance operation over the long term.
What you'll need to succeed
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Project management qualifications highly regarded).
• Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
• 10+ years of experience in mining and project management.
• Experience in ore processing and in managing large-scale construction projects.
• Bilingual (able to communicate with clients and stakeholders in English and French).
• Leadership qualities to motivate and guide engineering, procurement and construction teams.
• Collaborative skills to work with functions and other areas in scope delivery.
• Ability to conduct thorough site inspections and evaluation.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting for performance assessment.
