MicroAge is hiring a New Customer Service Rep

What we need you to do

The Technician plans for and executes service activities on all assigned products to maximize their availability.  The Technician is assigned a full workload, is knowledgeable and experienced in all service requirements and diagnostic/maintenance procedures. The CSR understands network environments and conceptual knowledge of software. The Technician is familiar with the team concept and works well in a team environment.

Technical Responsibilities

The Technician will diagnose and correct failures to assigned equipment using all appropriate service aids, tools, and resources. The Technician will restore a failing device to proper working operation in minimum time. The Technician will troubleshoot and return to operation software products including but not limited to Microsoft Office 2010 and 2013.

The Technician should understand customer network architecture and protocols and be able to perform problem determination on a customer’s network.

Which includes maintaining accurate records and appropriate on-site parts/tools inventory, updating diagnostics and service documentation, etc.

The Technician stays abreast of all new technologies relating to the environment in which they work.

What we need you to know

·         Preference will be given to a candidate that has a Technical College Degree in electronics or equivalent experience.

·         The Technician will be technically proficient through training or field experience in the following areas:

·         Desktop Computer repair.

·         Microsoft Windows 7 and 10 Operating Systems support.

·         Laptop Repair and Printer Repair experience.

·         Audio/Visual equipment experience a definite plus.

The Technician must be a Canadian Citizen and able to attain a Government of Canada SECRET security clearance and hold a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 drivers license.

Hours/Availability: Monday to Friday 7:30-4:00 (may require work in the evenings/Saturday/Sunday for events)

Job Type: Full-time

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience maintaining tier 1 computer systems.
