Your new role

You will lead the safe and efficient construction of the Windfall mining project, currently in pre-construction. Responsible for managing the construction from planning through to completion, you will ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to high safety and quality standards. The role involves coordinating teams, contractors, and resources, while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement efficient construction strategies (e.g. modularization, pre-assembly).

Ensure compliance with safety, engineering standards, and regulations.

Align contractor plans with overall construction strategy.

Promote a zero-harm safety culture, focusing on risk management.

Oversee field productivity, sequencing of work fronts, and contractor interfaces.

Optimize resource allocation and execution efficiency and implement corrective plans when needed.

Coordinate across engineering, procurement, and construction functions.

Manage construction risks and optimize project-wide outcomes.

Proactively manage union relations and site workforce coordination.


What you'll need to succeed

15+ years of experience in construction and project management, and a demonstrated safety performance

Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale industrial projects, using cutting edge construction strategies and methodologies, and working within a project with an EPCM delivery strategy

Demonstrated success in deploying large scale modularization and off-site pre-assembly strategies

Leadership qualities to motivate and guide engineering, procurement and construction teams

A collaborative leadership style. 

Proficient in data analysis and reporting for performance assessment

Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to form strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders
