Bartender - Part time evenings

A bartender prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, manages the bar area, provides excellent customer service, and ensures compliance with safety and alcohol regulations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Bartenders are responsible for mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks according to recipes or customer preferences, including cocktails, beers, and wines. They greet customers, take orders, recommend beverages, and provide a welcoming atmosphere. Bartenders also handle payments, calculate tabs, and ensure accurate cash or card transactions. Additional duties include cleaning glassware, utensils, and bar areas, restocking supplies, and maintaining an organized workspace. Lead bartenders may create cocktail menus, train staff, and oversee daily bar operations.

Customer Service and Interaction

Bartenders engage with patrons, provide stimulating conversation, and respond to customer needs while monitoring alcohol consumption to ensure responsible service. They must be observant, personable, and able to handle difficult or intoxicated customers professionally.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential skills include knowledge of mixology, drink recipes, and bar equipment, as well as multitasking, physical stamina, and strong interpersonal communication. Bartenders should have a neat appearance, an engaging personality, and the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments.
