Call Center Representative

The Call Center Representative is responsible for performing a broad variety of member services over the phone. Conducts transactions, answers member questions regarding Credit Union services and performs a variety of account maintenance.  Duties include:

 1.    Represents the Credit Union in a courteous and professional manner. 

2.    Utilizes computer data processing system to access accounts and process transactions properly. Processes transfers for members. 

3.    Transfers members’ calls to appropriate department when the inquiry falls outside of duties and responsibilities.

4.    Orders checks and makes replacement debit or atm cards for members. 

5.    Comprehends and adheres to credit union policies, procedures and compliance. 

6.    Ensures that members' requests and questions are promptly resolved. 

7.    Answers questions and solves problems for members by listening to problems, collecting data, securing answers and reporting results to the inquiring party.  Takes stop payment orders. 

8.    Receives changes of addresses and such other account information as needed and makes changes as appropriate. 

9.    Ensures that all members are informed of Credit Union products and services and policies including eligibility for membership, types of available accounts, interest and dividend rates, payroll deduction options, and other related services and information. 

10. Maintains confidentiality regarding member information and credit union general business affairs. 

11. Ensures that the Credit Union's quality reputation is maintained and projected. 

12. Processing incoming and outgoing wires. 

13. Cross-sells Credit Union services.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:  High School or GED

 Experience:  Experience in Member Service in a financial institution.

Six months cash handling. 

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have computer and data entry skills. 
  • Must have strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance, dress and attitude.
  • Good communication skills.
