HR Coordinator

As the HR Coordinator, you will be a valuable member of the Human Resources team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources, you will be responsible for providing support in various aspects of human resources, namely recruitment, employee relations, health & safety, payroll and benefits administration and HR policies and procedures. You are required to be hands on, while building critical relationships with leaders, employees, and vendors, providing solutions that have a direct impact on our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact for employee questions, escalating issues as needed, and assisting with employee engagement initiatives
- Assist the Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist with administrative tasks including posting jobs, coordinating interviews, and preparing offer letters
- Preparing onboarding schedules and materials, assisting with new hire orientations, ensuring paperwork is completed, and managing exit processes for departing employees
- Assist with all health and safety matters in the workplace, including attending quarterly JHSC meetings, completing monthly workplace inspections and accident investigations
- Assisting in updating and enforcing HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations, and providing guidance to employees
- Manage HR databases and systems
- Provide administrative support for training and development
- Compiling and analyzing HR data, preparing reports on HR metrics like headcount, turnover, and recruitment progress
- Assist Sr. HR Manager with strategic HR projects
- Assist in the organization of company events
- Provide back-up support to the Office Manager
- Other duties as required
Skills and Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary education in Human Resources or related discipline
- 1-3 years’ experience in an HR role
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Strong proficiency in MS Office required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a natural ability to build trusting relationships
- Excellent time management skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and ensure that all deadlines are met
- Ability to work with confidential and personal information discreetly and professionally
- Willingness to learn our industry

This is a flexible hybrid role where you are required to work both remotely and in person depending on business needs. You will be required to work at our Corporate HQ in Mississauga a minimum of 3 days per week in addition to attending and participating in workshops, projects, or team meetings.
