Role Overview

As a Leasing Associate for Single-Family Properties, you will play a pivotal role in the leasing and overall management of single-family rental homes, ensuring a seamless experience for prospective and current tenants. While leasing is your primary focus, you will also oversee key operational tasks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and lead a part-time associate to support the success of the properties. 

Responsibilities

Leasing and Move-Ins:


  • Execute effective marketing strategies to attract prospective tenants.
  • Conduct property tours, guide applicants through the leasing process, and facilitate lease signings.
  • Coordinate and manage move-in processes, ensuring a seamless transition for new tenants.

Tenant Relations:


  • Build and maintain positive tenant relationships by providing outstanding customer service.
  • Address tenant inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests promptly and professionally.

Lease Administration:


  • Manage lease agreements, including new leases, renewals, and terminations. 
  • Ensure accurate lease documentation and timely rent collection.

Rent Collection:


  •  Set up and manage tenant for rent collection through Rent Café.

Marketing and Leasing:


  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase leasing activity. 

Compliance:


  • Ensure all properties adhere to local laws, regulations, and property management standards.
  • Address any compliance-related concerns as they arise.

Tenant Communications:


  • Communicate regularly with tenants through newsletters, announcements, and community events to foster a sense of community and belonging.

Emergency Response:


  • Be available to address emergencies, collaborating with maintenance teams and contractors to resolve issues promptly.

Reporting:


  • Track and report on daily, weekly, and monthly leasing activities, including new leases, renewals, and terminations.


Work Schedule:


  • Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Standard schedule: Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • Half-day shifts on Saturdays and/or Sundays as needed. 


What We’re Looking For:

 Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

 Proven experience in property management or a related field, demonstrating strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for tenant interaction, team collaboration, and vendor coordination.

 Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

 Knowledge of local property management regulations and best practices.

 Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

 Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

 Professional demeanour with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
