Health, Safety and Environment CoordinatorJob Purpose
The Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator is a integral member of the leadership team responsible for managing and improving the Health, Safety, and Environmental systems and culture across the organization. This role ensures compliance with international standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies while supporting continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and safety performance. The HSE Coordinator leads cross-functional initiatives, audits, training, and investigations to promote a strong and proactive HSE culture.
Principal Accountabilities
- Provide advice, guidance, and support on company policies and implementation.
- Investigate accidents/near misses, identify root causes, and recommend improvements.
- Review HSE system, conduct gap analysis against ISO 45001 and 14001, and maintain procedures.
- Conduct audits, observation monitoring, risk assessments, and investigations.
- Ensure adherence to local/country legislation.
- Act as liaison with regulatory agencies, clients, auditors, and contractors.
- Provide coaching, training, and support across departments.
- Create annual HSE goals and monthly topics, maintain notice boards.
- Support continual improvement, process efficiencies, and cost savings.
- Lead implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the HSE Management Systems
- Perform tasks with honesty, integrity, and customer focus.
- Fully cooperate with departments to maintain workflow
Knowledge & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience.
- Knowledge of HSE Management Systems, ISO 18001, 45001, and 14001.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a HSE role.
- Recognized Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and inclusiveness.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
