Your Role

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for carrying out appropriate maintenance throughout the Ronald McDonald House, contributing to the highest standards and professionalism in delivering an excellent guest, colleague, and volunteer experience while in the facility, including maintaining a safe and clean environment. You are responsible to work promptly and to follow all company statutory and legal regulatory requirements during any repairs.

This role is based out of the Edmonton Ronald McDonald House, working 9 hours per week. The schedule for this role will be set when a successful candidate is selected. Hours are subject to change based on operational needs.

Your Key Responsibilities

·         Promptly respond to maintenance requests from guests, employees, and volunteers, addressing any issues efficiently and effectively with minimal disruption to families

·         Assist the Facilities Supervisor and team with oversight of on-site contractors

·         Perform daily rounds, monitor, and conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any maintenance needs or safety hazards, including any preventive maintenance tasks.

·         Keep accurate records of all maintenance issues and tasks

·         Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others

 

Required Qualifications

·         Secondary School or equivalent (preferred)

·         Minimum two years of experience of general maintenance or two years of related experience of building maintenance in a hospitality setting is acceptable

·         Mechanical aptitude is an asset. with minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry knowledge

·         Ability to read and understand written instructions

·         Working knowledge of computerized Building Maintenance Systems, or similar to Energy Management Systems, with basic computer skills at a minimum

·         Willingness to work in a team environment and able to work with minimal supervision

·         Adaptable to change and be able to handle multiple priorities under pressure

·         Further training will be required and provided as it relates to the property-specific building specification or systems

·         Must have a Class 5 driving license and provide a recent driver’s abstract(clean)

·         Must provide a clear criminal record check
