Position Summary


We are seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, values teamwork, and is committed to providing high-quality care and education in a licensed childcare setting.



Key Responsibilities

Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development

Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members

Observe and document children’s development and learning

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom

Follow all licensing regulations and health & safety guidelines

Support daily routines including meals, rest time, and outdoor play

Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s day and progress

Collaborate with team members to support program planning and centre initiatives



Qualifications

Valid Early Childhood Education (ECE) License or ECE Assistant Certificate (required, depending on role)

Valid First Aid & CPR certification

Criminal Record Check (vulnerable sector)

Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Reliable, punctual, and professional



Preferred Qualifications

Infant/Toddler or Special Needs certification (asset)

Previous experience in a licensed childcare setting

Knowledge of BC Child Care Licensing Regulations
