Returns Associate
Position Summary:
- The Returns Associate is responsible for the care and movement of merchandise into and out of the distribution center in an efficient and accurate manner. The associate is responsible for completing required tasks assigned by management which could include receiving, processing of returns, putting away product (returning to location), and shipping.
Essential Functions:
- Process returns with no RA number.
- Utilize “Loop” to process and settle returns of product.
- Use Microsoft SharePoint to store and retrieve documents.
- Systematically differentiate sellable from damaged merchandise.
- Retag resalable items for return to stock.
- Fold, re-bag, re-enter into inventory, and put-away merchandise.
- Movement of merchandise from picking areas to outbound staging for shipment.
- Ensure facility cleanliness is maintained daily.
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are being followed and safety hazards are addressed immediately.
- Escalate performance or conduct issues to the Manager when they arise.
- Must complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience:
- Required - Minimum one year experience in a distribution center environment (preferably non-climate controlled).
Educational Requirements:
- Required – High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Required skills:
- Previous experience in a distribution and warehouse operations a plus.
- Strong communication skills.
- Microsoft office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- General computer skills.
- Ability to work with WMS applications and RF scanners.
- Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others.
- Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
- Ability to work independently with little-to-no supervision.
Working Conditions:
- The shift will be Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm.
- Overtime will be mandatory during certain times throughout the year.
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
