Accounting Manager

Job Summary: The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role involves managing a team of accountants, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
• Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to accounting staff.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an international team.
• Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus.
