Schedule: Full-time Days | Rotating Schedule (including every second weekend)

Wage: $23.00/hour

Are you a compassionate and motivated LPN who wants to make a real difference in the lives of Albertans with disabilities? Easter Seals Alberta is looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our McQueen Home team in Edmonton.

About McQueen Home

McQueen Home is a 9-bedroom, 24/7 supported living home for individuals with disabilities who require significant care. Residents at McQueen live active, meaningful lives — engaging in their communities, spending time with loved ones, and enjoying their independence with the right supports in place.

About the Role

In this full-time day position, you’ll be a critical member of our care team, supporting residents with medical and personal care needs. You will also provide leadership to Health Care Aides (HCAs), ensure best practices are followed, and assist in training team members in medical policies and emergency procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Administer medications, treatments, and interventions (including wound and catheter care)

·         Lead and support HCAs, including training on medical procedures

·         Support residents with daily living activities and personal care

·         Monitor and assess residents’ well-being, documenting any changes

·         Communicate effectively with families and medical professionals

·         Act as an advocate for residents and provide emergency support when needed

Qualifications:

·         Active LPN license in Alberta

·         CPR and First Aid certification (current)

·         Experience in continuing care or with individuals with disabilities is an asset

·         Strong bedside manner, assessment skills, and critical thinking

·         Able to work on a rotating schedule including every second weekend
