What You’ll Do
You will support the day to day maintenance of residential properties by performing a variety of repairs, preventative maintenance tasks, and service requests.
• Perform general maintenance and repair work in residential units and common areas.
• Complete repairs related to plumbing, appliances, drywall, painting, lighting, and minor electrical components.
• Perform minor carpentry and finishing work including installation or repair of cabinetry, doors, blinds, lighting fixtures, counters, and other interior components.
• Conduct flooring repairs and replacements including laminate, tile, and vinyl flooring where required.
• Troubleshoot and repair building systems including plumbing, boilers, furnaces, hot water tanks, thermostats, and other heating systems.
• Respond to tenant maintenance requests and service calls while communicating clearly with residents regarding maintenance issues and repair timelines.
• Prepare vacant suites for new residents by completing turnover repairs, painting, fixture replacements, and unit inspections.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist in maintaining building systems including heating, ventilation, plumbing, and lighting.
• Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when specialized repairs are required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance logs, and work order documentation through Yardi and other systems.
• Participate in a rotating on call schedule and respond to urgent maintenance issues including water leaks, heating failures, and electrical concerns.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety policies and regulatory requirements.

What You Bring
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to four years of maintenance experience, preferably within residential property management.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and carpentry.
• Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently and determine appropriate solutions.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple work orders.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with property managers and site teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A strong customer service mindset with a commitment to resident satisfaction.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between properties.
• Basic hand tools required for the role.
• Physical ability to lift equipment and materials, climb ladders, and perform maintenance tasks within residential units and building spaces.
