Position: Precision Technology Intern

Temporary position from May- December 2026.

This position does offer the option to work from our West Edmonton or Westlock location.

Purpose:

Join Horizon Ag & Turf and help shape the future of agriculture. Our Precision Technology division leads the way in adopting and applying advanced solutions from John Deere and other industry providers. As a Precision Technology Intern, you’ll play a key role in implementing equipment, technology, and data solutions for our customers.

Who We’re Looking For:
Students seeking a four- or eight-month placement as part of a two- or four-year agriculture degree program, or recent graduates of such programs.

Performance Expectations:

• Assist the Precision Technology team with:
  • Demonstrations of Precision Ag equipment and advanced features.
  • Boundary or elevation mapping services.
  • Installation, removal, and troubleshooting of weather stations.
  • Leading or supporting customer and staff training events.
  • Developing training resources and content for staff and customers.

Key Capabilities and Success Factors:

·        Enrollment in or recent graduation from a two- or four-year agriculture program.

·        Understanding of the agriculture industry and large Ag equipment.

·        Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·        Ability to learn and master new equipment and technology quickly.

·        Proficiency with computers and mobile devices.

·        Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed.

·        Valid driver’s license.
