As our Controller, you would be team-focused and share our vision and growth strategy. Ideally, you have an accounting designation or are nearing completion. Excellent communication, organization and time-management skills are required.
Your role is to support our growth strategy, by managing the finance team, to assist the CFO in preparing financial statements and completing all associated income statement and balance sheet account reconciliations.

Key responsibilities for this position include:
-Leading and providing guidance to our finance team, including oversight of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Invoicing and Payroll
-Assist with Financial statement preparation and management reporting by completing monthly reconciliations
-Sales Commission calculation and reporting
-On-time submission and payment of all statutory filings (HST, Income Tax installments, Worker’s Comp, etc.).
-Year-end accountant coordination
-Supporting our CFO with financial analysis, dashboard reporting and other responsibilities as needed. Recommending changes to improve systems and financial performance
You have:
-Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
-Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
-The ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, completing complex assignments with minimal supervision
-The ability to multi-task and prioritize competing deadlines
-Attention to detail, are a critical thinker and consistently produce high-quality work
-Initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team
-A solid work ethic with a desire to be a company leader
-A love of numbers and what drives those numbers
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a finance team
Bachelor's degree in business with an accounting or finance major or equivalent education and experience
Accounting designation or nearing completion
Minimum 5 years working in an accounting/finance role
Strong computer skills, with advanced excel and accounting software ability and experience with Microsoft O365
