Job Duties:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of a licensed Out of School Care program, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children and youth

• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and supervision to maintain appropriate ratios and program coverage

• Ensure compliance with Community Care Licensing, BGCCVI policies, and core programming standards

• Support program planning and implementation, including age-appropriate activities and individualized supports where required

• Supervise, coach, and support staff through onboarding, training, performance management, and regular team meetings

• Build and maintain positive relationships with families, schools, and community partners

• Ensure accurate administrative records, incident reporting, attendance tracking, and required documentation

• Collaborate with Finance and leadership on enrollment, fee collection, attendance reporting, and budget awareness

• Oversee facility, equipment, and vehicle safety, maintenance, and cleanliness

• Participate in organizational initiatives, meetings, and special events as required

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in social sciences, recreation, or related field OR a combination of education and experience (minimum 20 hours child-related education)
• Valid First Aid/CPR certificate approved by Community Care Facilities Licensing
• Eligible for approval as a Licensed Manager through Community Care Licensing
  
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar child care or youth program environment (preferred)
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience (preferred)
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
