Job Responsibilities

The Service reports to the Service Manager and assists with the administration of the Service Department. Some of the responsibilities of this position include:

  • Field internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department
  • Work with technicians to sign off on completed work orders in preparation for invoicing
  • Responsible for tracking technician hours for payroll
  • Process warranty and/or product improvement claims
  • Close and invoice all service department workorders
  • Provide sales support by contacting existing clients for future service work
  • Complete month end processes
  • Open work orders as directed by the Service Manager and maintain control until they are closed and invoiced
  • Maintain Service Department filing and records
  • Update customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the work orders
  • Ability to work on a Saturday rotation, as well as extended hours during seasonal demands
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  •  2 years previous experience in a similar position with a high degree of product knowledge is preferred, but training can be provided for the right individual. 
  • Customer service skills, and detail orientation is key to this role.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and fellow co-workers
  • Organization skills and attention to detail are required
  • Knowledge of Agriculture and Equipment would be an asset
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient using computers and word processing/spreadsheet software
  • Able to work flexible and extended hours when needed. 
  • Basic knowledge of accounting practices
