Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic team. As a Journeyman Plumber at TA Manufacturing, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the quality and functionality of plumbing systems within our modular units. This position offers a four-day, 40-hour work week, with opportunities for apprenticeship, cross-training, and advancement within our organization. This position has a leadership and project management and planning component which is an essential skillset of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and construction drawings to determine plumbing system requirements.
- Provide feedback to the design team to optimize plumbing system designs and enhance overall project efficiency.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and water heaters.
- Interpret plumbing codes and regulations to ensure compliance and safety in all installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to coordinate plumbing work with other construction activities.
- Diagnose plumbing issues and troubleshoot problems effectively to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on tasks.
- Provide guidance and training to apprentices and junior staff, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations, promoting a safe work environment for all team members.
- Utilize plumbing tools and equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining them in good working condition.
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman Plumber certification in British Columbia.
- Proven experience in residential and commercial plumbing installations and repairs.
- Strong understanding of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and colleagues.
- Ability to manage time and team efficiently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and project management.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with green plumbing practices or water conservation technologies.
- Familiarity with advanced plumbing technologies, such as smart home systems.

Compensation: Dependant on experience and trade certifications.
