Robertson School of Health has an immediate need for a Health Care Aide Instructor.

Overview

We are seeking a Health Care Aide Clinical Instructor to join our School of Health. You will be reporting to the Manager, Operations School of Health.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be available to problem solve all students and staff for questions and concerns daily.

• Support and guide students in a positive learning environment on duties and responsibilities of a HCA.

• Monitor students' skill on assigned tasks while out on practicum.

• Complete weekly report on students and their progress.

• Provide feedback and assistance to student on positive or “need to work on” statements.

• Collaborate with the preceptor/staff in completing a final evaluation on the student’s practical performance.

• Facilitate on filling out practicum checklists.

• Review final evaluations with each student.

• Document daily performance on students.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Active Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.

• Minimum of 1500 hours of clinical nursing or nursing education experience in Canada within the past 3 years required.

• 1+ years experience of adult teaching experience in clinical, educational, or health-related settings preferred.

• A baccalaureate degree in education or completion of an approved adult teaching/learning education program an asset.

• Ability to work independently and make confident decisions.

• Efficient in managing time and prioritizing tasks.

• Proven reliability and consistent punctuality.

• Approachable with a friendly demeanor, fostering a supportive environment.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, verbal and written communication skills.

• Flexible and responsive to changes in a fast-paced setting.

• Multicultural sensitivity/awareness.

• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.

Job Type: Fixed-term contract (Part-time)

Salary Rate: $42.16

Schedule: Available Monday - Friday (Day/Evening Shift) for site-specific shifts
