Robertson School of Health has an immediate need for a Health Care Aide Instructor.
Overview
We are seeking a Health Care Aide Clinical Instructor to join our School of Health. You will be reporting to the Manager, Operations School of Health.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Be available to problem solve all students and staff for questions and concerns daily.
Support and guide students in a positive learning environment on duties and responsibilities of a HCA.
Monitor students' skill on assigned tasks while out on practicum.
Complete weekly report on students and their progress.
Provide feedback and assistance to student on positive or “need to work on” statements.
Collaborate with the preceptor/staff in completing a final evaluation on the student’s practical performance.
Facilitate on filling out practicum checklists.
Review final evaluations with each student.
Document daily performance on students.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Active Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.
Minimum of 1500 hours of clinical nursing or nursing education experience in Canada within the past 3 years required.
1+ years experience of adult teaching experience in clinical, educational, or health-related settings preferred.
A baccalaureate degree in education or completion of an approved adult teaching/learning education program an asset.
Ability to work independently and make confident decisions.
Efficient in managing time and prioritizing tasks.
Proven reliability and consistent punctuality.
Approachable with a friendly demeanor, fostering a supportive environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills, verbal and written communication skills.
Flexible and responsive to changes in a fast-paced setting.
Multicultural sensitivity/awareness.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.
Job Type: Fixed-term contract (Part-time)
Salary Rate: $42.16
Schedule: Available Monday - Friday (Day/Evening Shift) for site-specific shifts
