Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Community Services is currently looking for a full-time Mental Health Facilitator within our Mental Health Services – Clubhouse program. In this position, the Mental Health Facilitator will have the opportunity to plan, prepare and facilitate various programs within the Club setting. This includes but is not limited to developing programs that promote vocational skills, and social/leisure activities, which provide empowerment of and promotes independence within its members. 


The Clubhouse program serves adults living with mental health issues who are seeking a community of understanding, like-minded people who might share the same experiences that they do. Clubhouses provide a supportive environment where people can socialize, participate in recreational activities, learn new skills and increase their involvement in the community. The club is a safe and non-judgemental space for individuals to navigate their mental health challenges and discover wellness tools on their journey to recovery and mental wellness.  The club creates opportunities for people to develop skills, build confidence and improve quality of life in areas of personal life, pre-employment, employment, education and leisure. 



Qualifications for this position include:


2-year diploma in a mental health discipline

Minimum 2 years experience working with persons who have chronic and persistent psychiatric health issues. 

Experience in social group work, recreation and life skills

A strong understanding of psychosocial rehabilitation and a certificate would be an asset


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities for this position include:


Proven ability to organize and prioritize multiple demands.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to work as part of a team and practice the Team Approach.

Demonstrated knowledge of client outcome measurement, client information management, and client file management.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the socio-economic and cultural background of the service population.

Must be able to efficiently and effectively manage work time and energy and stress levels.


Additional Requirements:


Clear Criminal Record Check is required.

Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.

Valid and unrestricted Class 5 BC Driver’s License with access to a safe and reliable vehicle.

Acceptable Driver's Abstract (Required annually)

Position requires Union Membership.




Shift/Schedule/Hours per week: 35 hours per week; generally, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with some evening shifts as required throughout the month. 

Expected Start Date: ASAP

Wage/Salary: $27.54/hour 

Grid Level: 11
