Role Overview
As a Leasing Associate for Single-Family Properties, you will play a pivotal role in the leasing and overall management of single-family rental homes, ensuring a seamless experience for prospective and current tenants. While leasing is your primary focus, you will also oversee key operational tasks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and lead a part-time associate to support the success of the properties.
Responsibilities
Leasing and Move-Ins:
- Execute effective marketing strategies to attract prospective tenants.
- Conduct property tours, guide applicants through the leasing process, and facilitate lease signings.
- Coordinate and manage move-in processes, ensuring a seamless transition for new tenants.
Tenant Relations:
- Build and maintain positive tenant relationships by providing outstanding customer service.
- Address tenant inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
Lease Administration:
- Manage lease agreements, including new leases, renewals, and terminations.
- Ensure accurate lease documentation and timely rent collection.
Rent Collection:
- Set up and manage tenant for rent collection through Rent Café.
Marketing and Leasing:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase leasing activity.
Compliance:
- Ensure all properties adhere to local laws, regulations, and property management standards.
- Address any compliance-related concerns as they arise.
Tenant Communications:
- Communicate regularly with tenants through newsletters, announcements, and community events to foster a sense of community and belonging.
Emergency Response:
- Be available to address emergencies, collaborating with maintenance teams and contractors to resolve issues promptly.
Reporting:
- Track and report on daily, weekly, and monthly leasing activities, including new leases, renewals, and terminations.
Work Schedule:
- Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Standard schedule: Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Half-day shifts on Saturdays and/or Sundays as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
✔ Proven experience in property management or a related field, demonstrating strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for tenant interaction, team collaboration, and vendor coordination.
✔ Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
✔ Knowledge of local property management regulations and best practices.
✔ Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
✔ Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
✔ Professional demeanour with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
