We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and service‑oriented On‑Site Worker to join our Supervised Access Program team. The On-Site Worker plays a critical role in supporting safe, neutral, and child-focused visits and exchanges between children and their families, while ensuring that program guidelines and service agreements are respected.

Salary:                 Level 3, $48157.76 to $54,102.91 (pro-rated to Hours/Week)

Hours of Work:   Bi-Weekly Saturday and Sunday, 8:45 am to 4:30 PM

ABOUT THE POSITION

The SAP On‑Site Worker is responsible for monitoring and coordinating supervised visitation and exchange services within the Supervised Access Program. This role ensures visits are conducted safely, respectfully, and in accordance with program policies, while providing support to clients, children, and volunteer visit monitors.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Monitor and facilitate safe, neutral, and child‑focused supervised visits and exchanges
  • Update program lineups and inform clients of schedule changes or cancellations
  • Prepare visit spaces and activities to ensure a welcoming and appropriate environment
  • Ensure all participants adhere to program guidelines and intervene as required
  • Supervise visits (up to two hours) when volunteer visit monitors are unavailable
  • Provide on‑site support and orientation to volunteer visit monitors
  • Respond to client questions, concerns, and potential conflicts with professionalism
  • Review visit observation notes for accuracy and completeness by the end of the shift
  • Complete and file critical incident reports as required
  • Collect program fees, issue receipts, and maintain accurate payment records
  • Maintain a tidy and safe visit site; ensure supplies are returned and stored properly
  • Prepare and photocopy documents as required for program delivery
  • Attend mandatory staff training and Supervised Access Program meetings
  • Administer client satisfaction or outcome surveys as directed
  • Perform other related duties as required

ABOUT YOU

You are calm, responsible, and respectful in your interactions with children, families, and colleagues. You are comfortable working in emotionally charged environments and can de-escalate situations while maintaining professional boundaries. You value teamwork, accurate documentation, and client‑centered service delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 education, with some post‑secondary coursework in social services or a related field
  • At least two (2) years of related experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including variations in culture, race, socio‑economic status, gender identity/expression, and sexual orientation
  • Basic understanding of child custody, access, and family dynamics
  • Knowledge of child‑centered and trauma‑informed approaches
  • Awareness of domestic violence dynamics and family conflict
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict‑management skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely records
  • Non‑violent crisis intervention skills
  • Basic First Aid (asset)
  • Bilingual (English and French) preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Proof of legal entitlement to work in Canada
  • Successful Vulnerable Sector Check before first shift
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
