Position Summary:

The Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding and metal fabrication work as part of the fabrication team. This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques and adherence to safety and quality standards. The Welder will contribute to the construction, maintenance, and repair of equipment, ensuring that all work meets project specifications and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Welding and Fabrication:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding process specifications to complete tasks accurately.
  • Operate welding equipment to fuse metal segments using various processes.
  • Execute precise cutting and shaping of metal components using equipment and metal shaping machines such as brakes and shears.

Assembly and Maintenance:

  • Assemble welded structures and components, ensuring accurate alignment and adherence to specifications.
  • Assist in the construction, repair, and maintenance of gensets and datacenters.
  • Participate in the installation, mobilization, and demobilization of field equipment.

Quality Control and Inspection:

  • Conduct visual inspections of welded surfaces and structures to identify and address defects.
  • Ensure all welds meet company and industry standards, making necessary adjustments as required.
  • Mark and report defects or areas needing repair.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Keep up-to-date with required safety certifications and ensure work practices comply with industry regulations.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work effectively with electricians, mechanics, fabricators, and engineers to coordinate project tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Support the PLC panel build, repair, installation, and replacement efforts as needed.
  • Perform general oilfield installation and construction tasks when required.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and completed projects.
  • Submit detailed timesheets and any required project documentation on time.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in welding, preferably in oilfield building fabrication.
  • Proficiency in operating various welding and metalworking equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Strong commitment to safety and maintaining required certifications.
Work Environment:
The Welder will work in a manufacturing environment that may include exposure to noise, heat, and machinery.
