IT Operations Specialist
Role Overview
Village Media is looking for a sharp, self-motivated, tech-obsessed, and highly resourceful IT Operations Specialist to support our growing North American team.
This new position requires intelligence, drive, strong communication skills, and raw problem-solving horsepower. While you should already have a solid foundation of tech experience, you do not need to check every single box on day one. If you love tech, are a fast learner, a natural problem solver, and thrive when handed a completely new challenge to figure out, you may be a good fit.
This role is suitable for a motivated, tech-loving problem solver who isn't being challenged enough in their current work. It would also be an excellent launchpad for a smart, driven recent computer networking, programming or other tech-related graduate or a junior professional looking to gain massive, cross-functional experience within this fast-growing company.

User & Account Management: Manage the employee software lifecycle, assisting with onboarding/offboarding, provisioning user accounts, and managing access permissions.
Process Improvement: Assist in developing or vibecoding new or improved processes and systems to help the company run more efficiently.
MDM Implementation: Assist in building out and deploying our Mobile Device Management (MDM) framework to secure and manage company hardware.

Network and IOT: Manage other devices in our facilities: network equipment, TVs, video conferencing, cameras, building automation, etc.
Office Operations: Going beyond IT, provide operational support for our offices and facilities, including minor troubleshooting and repairs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Exceptional Problem Solving: You don't freeze when you encounter a software error, or an assignment in something unfamiliar; you research, ask questions, test, and solve it.
High Self-Motivation: You take ownership of tasks from start to finish without needing micro-management, but knowing when to ask for guidance. You seek out work that needs to be done during slow periods. You naturally look for ways to improve processes before being asked.
Technical Adaptability: Comfortable switching contexts between different operating systems and cloud platforms.
Analytical: Coding or programming experience contributes to your understanding of how data should be structured and interacted with.
Security-Minded: You consider and prioritize security in every action you take. You have 2FA on all your accounts.
Organized: Your box of spare cables at home is organized by connector type. You know the difference between HDMI, DP, USB-C, and RJ45.
Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to calmly help colleagues through tech frustrations. Excellent written communication skills to effectively contribute to our knowledge base documentation.
Education/Experience: A degree, college diploma, or equivalent track record that proves your analytical skills, work ethic and tech expertise. While IT work experience is a big plus, we are open to a sharp, high-potential recent graduate.
