Digital Marketing Associate
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Digital Marketing Associate plays a crucial role in implementing and optimizing digital marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, increase online visibility, and generate leads. The Digital Marketing Associate will utilize various channels such as social media, email marketing, and SEO to achieve these goals. The main objective of the Digital Marketing Associate is to generate leads or conversions that contribute to the overall growth of the business.
WAGE: $18 per hour
HOURS OF WORK: 35 Hours
PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: May 11th, 2026 – August 28th, 2026
LOCATION: Hybrid
APPLICATION TIMELINE: Interviews will begin after February 17th, 2026. This posting will remain open until the position is filled
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop detailed plans for digital marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with the target audience and overall marketing objectives.
Execute digital marketing campaigns across various digital channels while managing their reach and engagement.
Research and analyze marketing strategies and implementations specific to the clients’ industry.
Conduct keyword research and optimize website content to improve organic search rankings and increase visibility on search engine results pages.
Collaborate with small to medium-sized businesses to understand their unique marketing needs and objectives, providing guidance and customized solutions to help them achieve their online goals effectively and efficiently.
Take direction from the Leadership team to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
Implement the clients’ branding vision in collaboration with team members.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging content for digital platforms, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and target audience.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital marketing to incorporate innovative strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
Complete self-directed online courses.
Participate in soft skills workshops.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Hybrid work environment. There will be days that the Digital Marketing Associate will be required to attend our Beamsville office.
Mandatory attendance is required for technical and soft skills workshops.
PROGRAMS / SOFTWARE USED:
Semrush, social media business tools, and Canva,
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The YSS is an integrated learning environment, and no prior experience is required, however, knowledge of the following is beneficial.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic graphic design tools.
Familiarity with analytics tools to measure and interpret campaign performance.
Knowledge of digital marketing concepts and strategies, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and content marketing.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Civiconnect receives government funding based on certain eligibility requirements. Please only apply if you meet the following criteria:
Must be between 18-29 years of age
Must be enrolled in part-time or full-time studies at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a co-op or internship
Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Must be able to work full-time for a duration of 16 weeks.
