About the Opportunity 

This role will be working closely with the Focus Famille Program Lead and Program Coordinator to provide administrative, translation, copyediting and social media support to reach francophone families across Canada and around the world. This role provides a unique opportunity to use bilingual skills to expand our reach and serve more French-speaking families. The ideal intern is an engaging, energetic self-starter who relates well to othersAll work done within the department must be done with the highest attention to detail and reflect the organizations values of integrity, stewardship and excellence.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Supporting Program Lead and Program Coordinator on projects such as the magazinewebsites, and print mailings, marketing communication, etc. 

 

  • Maintaining our social media pages on Facebook (Focus Famille and Grandir dans l’Intégrité), Instagram and Twitter (Focus Famille) using Canva.  

 

  • Collaborating with French and design departments to develop images for social media pages on Canva.  

 

  • Completing additional administrative tasks and duties as required. 

 

  • Participate in daily devotions, team meetings and organization wide meetings.  

 

About You 
 

  • Fluent in both English and French with strong French written communication skills. 

 

  • Currently pursuing post-secondary education with focus on marketing, communications or related discipline.  

 

  • Self-motivated, highly organized, attentive to detail, problem-solver and able to multi-task.  

 

  • Flexible team player with a desire to learn and improve your existing skill set. 

 

  • Success in this position is dependent upon strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to assist with creative project production in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.

Other Requirements  

This position is contingent on Federal Government Grant funding by the Canada Summer Jobs program.  Successful candidates must meet the criteria set forth by the grant program below.  
 

To be eligible, youth must: 

  • be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment; 

  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment (international students are not eligible participants); and, 

  • have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations; and, 

  • this role requires an individual who is able to sign and adhere to our Christian Foundations and Standards
