About the Role
The Dock Supervisor oversees daily marina operations during the operating season at Moutcha Bay Resort. Reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager, this role leads guest service at the marina, supervises staff, ensures safety and compliance, manages retail and rental operations, and maintains smooth, high-quality marina and dock shack workflow.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead marina guest services, welcoming visitors arriving by water and resolving guest issues.
· Supervise and train staff, oversee scheduling, task assignments, and performance feedback.
· Manage fueling operations, retail sales, POS transactions, and daily cash-outs.
· Oversee Dock Shack operations, including merchandising, stocking, sanitation, and food safety.
· Coordinate safety procedures, enforce compliance, and ensure emergency equipment readiness.
· Manage rental fleet operations, including cleaning, orientations, equipment checks, and safe storage.
· Maintain marina cleanliness, docks, fish stations, and public areas, reporting maintenance needs.
· Organize dock space and guest slip assignments with internal teams.
· Operate VHF radio, support waste management, and uphold safety and hazard-prevention standards.
· Promote resort services, including rentals, merchandise, and guided fishing.
Qualifications
Required
· Legally entitled to work in Canada
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Minimum 2 years professional marina experience
· PCOC (Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card)
· ROC-M (Radio Operator Certificate – Maritime)
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
· Food Safe Level 1
· WHMIS certification
· Serving it Right certification
Preferred
· Valid driver’s license
· Retail sales experience
· OFA1 (Occupational First Aid Level 1)
· SVOP/SDVBS or MED-A3/MBFA (commercial vessel operation certificates)
