A2SKI is seeking a skilled Carpenters for full-time term positions located in Northern Saskatchewan. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of carpentry in construction The work schedule for the positions runs 14 days on, 14 days off rotation, with meals and lodging provided during work shifts.

Main Responsibilities:

·        Carry out basic construction, maintenance, or labor-related tasks. 

·        Understand and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout and materials required. 

·        Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, saws, drills, levels, and other carpentry-related equipment. 

·        Construct and install foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs.

·        Erecting, leveling, and installing building framework with the aid of rigging hardware and cranes.

·        Inspecting and replacing damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.

·        Instructing and directing labourers and other construction trade helpers.

·        Operating a forklift and other equipment.

·        Assist with general site preparation and cleanup

·        Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.

·        Work closely with construction professionals and other workers to ensure project deadlines and goals are met.

·        Assist with general site preparation and cleanup. 

 

Qualifications:

·        Certified Journeyperson Carpenter is required.

·        Valid Driver’s Licence

·        Ability to perform physically demanding tasks which may include lifting, bending and standing for extended periods

·        2-3 years of construction carpentry experience is preferred

·        Certification and 2-3 years' experience operating a forklift and loader is preferred

·        Ability to work in various weather conditions and challenging environments

·        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment. 

·        Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a construction/warehouse setting is an asset

·        Drug and Alcohol Testing
