Lead Hotel Maintenance Technician

We are excited to be recruiting for a skilled Lead Hotel Maintenance Technician for our amazing property, Inn at the Forks.
This position requires Open Availability, as shifts will be day, evening and weekends as needed, based on hotel business levels. Shifts will primarily be a 10:00am or 11:00am start.
Inn at the Forks is a sleek and stylish hotel set in The Forks historic site with guest rooms that feature a modern design, and some suites have waterfront views. SMITH is a contemporary restaurant featuring locally sourced ingredients, and Riverstone Spa is a full-service spa, both located within the hotel.
Our Lead Hotel Maintenance
Technician must ensure that the entire building is always in safe and good working
order. The ideal candidate will be responsible for
maintaining the overall condition of our facilities and equipment to ensure
smooth operations. This includes a combination of preventative maintenance tasks, daily
repair requisitions, and ensuring the exterior is well taken care of and clean.
You will work directly alongside the Housekeeping Manager to optimize safety
and the comfort of our guests.
Duties:
1. Performs preventative maintenance of all guest rooms to ensure all equipment and fixtures are in good working order.
2. Patch and paint any guest room, hallway or banquet room walls that may need touch ups.
3. Checking guest rooms to ensure all are in good working order.
4. Ensuring outside grounds are maintained and safe (i.e., snow clearing, etc.)

Shampooing carpets and upholstery
What you bring to the table:
1. At least 1-2 years of direct Hotel Maintenance experience.
2. Positive and hardworking attitude
3. Ability to effectively communicate with team members.
4. The ability to stay focused in a high volume, fast paced industry and ensure accuracy and procedures are followed.
5. Ability to work independently.
6. Ability to work inside and outside of hotel throughout all seasons.
7. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies as required.
8. Perform routine maintenance jobs and repairs.
