Vinegar Filtration Technician - Night Shift

Vinegar Filtration and Production Technician – Night Shift

This Job Offers:

·         $21/hour plus $2/hour shift premium

·         Work Monday-Thursday 7:00PM until 5:30AM

·         Off every Friday, Saturday and Sunday

·         Full Benefit Package

·         Pension Match at 5%

Major Role & Responsibilities:

• Complete testing of vinegar during production of vinegar
• Record data from acetators and other information pertaining to production, alcohol and mixes
• Maintain accurate, precise daily production records
• Issue PO’s and coordinate receipt of raw ingredients
• Prepare mixes and look after receivers being pumped off to storage
• Prepare flavor vinegar according to schedule
•   Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of storage tanks, mix tanks for fermentation and acetators
• Filter vinegar as required for bottling lines, tankers, and barrels
• Clean and maintain various filter systems
• Clean and maintain vinegar production equipment, acetators, hoses and fittings
• Unload/load tankers (receiving of raw materials)
• Maintain area housekeeping
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead Hand

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent manufacturing experience
• Forklift certification required
• Ability to troubleshot and re-act to changing enviroments
• Knowledge of pumps and motors would be an asset
• Ability to lift heavy materials as needed
• Comfortable working at heights
• Mechanical aptitude; knowledge of pumps and motors is considered an asset
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a computerized production environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
