WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Grow the Kicking Horse Coffee Brand across North America. We are hiring two Associate Marketing Managers to work with our marketing team to execute strategic plans, develop insights, and provide support to our sales and marketing teams. You will work with cross functional teams to ensure our priority projects stay on track. Using your smart-ass branding skills, insight experience, intentional planning, and a hint of cheekiness, you will be responsible for the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Strategy & Innovation Development
- Contribute to the planning and execution of disruptive brand and innovation initiatives, aligned with company goals.
- Assist in creating and maintaining brand guidelines to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
- Support the planning and flawless execution of innovation and expansion opportunities (i.e. new products, new channels, new markets, etc.).
- Lead innovation projects from start-to-finish, engaging internal and external stakeholders along the way to deliver kick-ass results.
- Lead brand marketing projects across owned, earned and paid channels from brief to execution working with external partners and internal teams to bring the Kicking Horse brand to more consumers.
- Collaborate with the sales team to execute trade marketing programs; lead the development of sell-in materials i.e. sell sheets, and pitch decks with major retailers and selling partners.
- Seek sustainable growth of the brand through identifying consumer-relevant insights and keeping your finger on the pulse of cultural trends and conversations.
Trade Marketing
- Provide trade marketing support for all channels, with an emphasis on executing brand positioning in away-from-home channel.
- Lead activations on site with travel involved.
- Interface with the away-from-home team, providing insights for operators/customers. and work with innovation team to launch new product ideas.
Cross-Functional & Marketing Leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and product development, to ensure alignment and effective execution of marketing initiatives.
- Support the overall marketing strategy by coordinating with internal teams and external partners including collaboration with Lavazza North America and Headquarters.
- Support the marketing team in owning and leading team meetings, capturing follow-ups and navigating next steps.
Agency Management
- Write clear and focused briefs that will inspire our agency teams to deliver strategically sound and remarkable creative and communications.
- Lead packaging design and development from brief to final proof approvals.
- Collaborate with the internal marketing team and external agency team to plan and execute campaigns across various channels (digital, traditional, social, etc.).
- Monitor campaign performance, analyze key metrics, and provide insights for optimization.
Market Research and Analysis
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan, execute, and analyze marketing campaigns Analyze consumer behaviour, market conditions and industry trends to report on the state of the business and provide insights to inform marketing strategies.
Budget Management
- Lead the development and manage marketing budgets for campaigns and initiatives.
- Monitor expenditures, ensure cost-effectiveness, and provide financial insights for budget optimization.
Digital Marketing
- Work closely with the brand marketing team to execute online campaigns, including social media, website, email, marketing, and content creation.
- Monitor and analyze digital marketing metrics, providing insights for continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in business, marketing, or communications required.
- 2-3 years of CPG marketing experience.
- Exceptional ability to use Microsoft software such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Proven ability to conduct data analysis using AC Nielsen data, and/or other consumer and customer data.
- Project management experience is required.
- Experience with digital marketing, Adobe Creative Suite or Shopify is an ASS-et
- Bilingual in both French and English is an ASS-et

OTHER INFORMATION
- This role can be remote or on-site in Invermere, BC. If remote there will be travel to our headquarters around 3-4 times per year.
- This is a full-time, permanent position based on 40 hours per week with key collaboration hours of 9am-3pm MT.
- Successful candidate must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
