About the Job
· Grouping guests as they disembark from the cruise ships.
· Leading a predetermined number of guests on a fixed-route Walking Tour with stops for verbal (non-amplified) talks with passengers.
· Engaged throughout the tours and contribute to a unique experience of Victoria is essential to the job.
· Maintain attention to safety concerns- traffic, walkways.
· Communicating to guests all options at the conclusion of the tour- as to how to return to the Cruise Ship by Shuttle or independently
· Communicating with Intercruises Pier Staff as necessary.
· Some knowledge of the history of the city is needed.
· Paid training on basic cultural and historic information upon which to build your own presentation.
· Previous experience as a tour guide or working with tourists will be taken into consideration when hiring.
· All applicants will need to be flexible for schedule availability.
All tours require a three-hour commitment per tour. Scheduling is done a month in advance.
