Salary: $54,600 to $72,800 Annual Salary
Reporting to: General Manager of Retail Operations
Summary of Duties:
Under the direction of the General Manager of Retail Operations, the Store Operations Manager is responsible for the daily operations and administration of the Tsi’pun Supermarket.
Key Deliverables and Expectations:
• Hire, train, and manage employees.
• Implements and oversees daily operations for the site.
• Monitors operations budget, including income and expenditures, authorizes expenditures within approved spending limit, and administers budgets following policies and procedures.
• Schedules and conducts one-on-one meetings, team meetings & safety meetings with employees.
• Complete annual and bi-annual performance reviews.
• Ensure proper cash flow and money handling procedures.
• Monitor inventory, oversee re-orders & pricing as needed.
• Upload credit card transaction data to a central processor.
• Collect and deliver deposits to the bank as needed.
• Manage & oversee Customer Charge Accounts.
• Inspect all food storage equipment for safe handling procedures.
• Set standards for customer service and respond to customer concerns.
• Keep track of staff timesheets and payroll to submit to accounting.
• Monitor product quality and adjust inventory to meet customer needs.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize risk.
• Communicate with accounts receivable customers to settle accounts.
• Ensure that the store and surrounding area are clean, sanitized, and meet safety standards for both employees and customers.
• Completes building safety inspection once per month, and Manager walk-through inspection daily/weekly.
• Perform other related duties as requested.
Experience and Attributes:
• 1-2 years/of experience in retail management, preferably in a grocery store and/or retail environment.
• Current Food Safe Level 1 certification.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, effective communications skills, and strong organizational skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
• Ability to work independently and as an integral member of various teams.
• Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and time management skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines prioritizes assignments, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
• Highly professional in all aspects of business, presentation, and interaction with all stakeholders, clients, and Members.
• BC driver’s license is an asset.
• Cleared Criminal Record Check.
