Marketing Specialist (Elie)

AgWest is looking for a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build their career in marketing while contributing to a well-established and growing organization within the agricultural industry.

As a Marketing Specialist, you will help support AgWest’s marketing and communication efforts by assisting with content creation, social media management, event coordination, and brand promotion. You’ll work closely with multiple departments to help strengthen AgWest’s presence both online and within the communities we serve.

What You’ll Do:

Marketing & Brand Support

  • Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns and content plans aligned with company goals.
  • Support the management and updating of the AgWest website to ensure content remains current and engaging.
  • Help maintain AgWest’s social media presence by creating and scheduling content across platforms.
  • Assist with organizing trade shows, customer events, and promotional activities.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and communications.

Content Creation & Communications

  • Create content including social media posts, newsletters, blog articles, promotional materials, and internal communications.
  • Assist with photography, video content, and other digital marketing initiatives.
  • Support external communications, including press releases and promotional campaigns.
  • Coordinate with external vendors or agencies as needed for design and marketing projects.

Collaboration & Administrative Support

  • Work closely with sales, service, and leadership teams to support company initiatives and promotions.
  • Assist with marketing reporting and analytics to help evaluate campaign performance.
  • Support general administrative and departmental tasks as required.
  • Contribute ideas and creative solutions to improve marketing efforts and customer engagement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, social media, or a related role is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
  • Basic understanding of marketing analytics, SEO, and content creation is an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and design platforms such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based role in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
  • Occasional travel for events, trade shows, or company activities may be required.
  • Occasional overtime as needed.
