Commissioning Technician
Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage the commissioning process on various in-house small to medium-sized projects.

Perform commissioning design reviews, submittal reviews, and closeout document reviews.

Create pre-functional and functional checklists, as well as commissioning plans.

Conduct commissioning meetings and manage the commissioning process for assigned projects.

Perform field observations and functional testing.

Document and track test results using issue resolution logs.

Prepare commissioning deliverables, including final commissioning reports.

Assist in the review and development of staff training and continuing education opportunities.

Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Project Manager of Commissioning.
Minimum Requirements:

Eight (8) years of full-time, paid professional experience in commissioning.

Strong working knowledge of building codes, CHPS, and commissioning requirements.

ANSI commissioning certification (CxA, CxT, BCxP, or Certified Commissioning Professional).

Extensive knowledge of building, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university, preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering, architecture, or construction management.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in design or construction management with a focus on mechanical systems.

Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification or a valid California Professional Engineering License.

Industry-recognized energy management certification.
