Position: Manufacturing Equipment & Facility Maintenance Technician
Department: Operations
We are seeking a Manufacturing Equipment & Facility Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. This role plays a key part in supporting reliable operation of our wood and steel manufacturing equipment, performing both preventative and reactive maintenance, and helping ensure consistent plant uptime.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, machinery, and building systems.
· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on production equipment.
· Support maintenance activities for both facility buildings and plant infrastructure.
· Respond to equipment breakdowns and urgent maintenance needs, including occasional evening call-ins.
· Assist in maintaining an organized work order system for preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.
· Identify and communicate equipment issues, improvement opportunities, and parts requirements.
· Work both independently and as part of a team to complete maintenance tasks safely and efficiently.
· Follow established procedures and safety practices to reduce downtime and improve operational reliability.
· Support contractors and subcontractors performing specialized repair or service work when required.

Qualifications
· Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
· Own transportation and reliability to commute to site.
· Availability for occasional evening call-ins.
· Preventative maintenance program experience is considered an asset.
· Hydraulic system troubleshooting or repair experience is considered an asset.
· Electrical controls or VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) knowledge is considered an asset.
· Experience with industrial woodworking equipment is considered an asset.
