General Description: Reporting to the Resort President, the Boat Captain will draw on a record of safe and efficient ship handling and ensure safe, efficient and reliable service to charterer guests on our Ferretti Craft SRL, Pontoon Boat and other water craft as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

·         Master Limited 60 Gross Tons or more

·         SVMO considered an asset

·         SEN Limited

·         Marine Emergency Duties A1, A2 or A3

·         ROC-MC Radio Certificate

·         Current Marine Medical

·         Marine Basic First Aid

·         Previous commercial passenger vessel experience considered an asset

Responsibilities:

·         Operate Transport Canada Inspected Passenger Vessels in a manner that insures the Safety and Security of the Crew, Enjoyment of the Passengers, and Respect for the Environment.

·         Our Captains and Mates have public contact; therefore, we are looking for individuals who take pride in their appearance and have quality guest service & communication skills. A flexible schedule is a must. Schedule includes evenings, weekends and holidays.

·         Directly supervise Crew Members in all areas of Marine Transportation Safety and Training.

·         Routinely conduct Emergency Drills and Safety Training/Inspections in accordance with Transport Canada regulations and company policy. 


·         Maintain Vessel Operations and Maintenance Logs, Personnel Reports, and all other Ship’s Business records.

·         Thorough conformance with federal and/or company standards, rules, regulations, and safety guidelines is essential to successful performance in this position.
