THE ROLE

We are currently seeking an Unloader to join our Root Cellar Team! The Unloader is responsible for safely receiving and unloading our many daily deliveries and keeping track of incoming inventory and supplies. This includes signing for shipments, monitoring incoming product quality, and efficiently moving deliveries into the back stock area by hand, pallet jack or forklift.

• Safely and efficiently unload daily produce, grocery, and meat deliveries.
• Work professionally with suppliers and drivers to receive shipments.
• Transport product by forklift and pallet jack.
• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of loading dock, backroom, garbage, recycling and storage areas.
• Communicate effectively with all departments regarding their deliveries.
• Monitor the quality of the delivered product.
•  Effectively respond to challenging situations positively and professionally, including proposing new ideas.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• The ability to work efficiently and accurately in a high-volume environment.
• Flexible to work early shifts starting at 6:00 am two times a week.
• Availability for a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Good physical fitness to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous receiving/unloading experience is preferred, not required.
