Seasonal On‑Site Janitorial Attendant – Wage starting at $17.85 per hour

Position Summary

The On‑Site Janitorial Attendant is responsible for the daily cleaning, sanitation, and upkeep of on‑site bathroom facilities and designated common areas, including the restaurant. This role ensures a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for guests and staff while following WorkSafeBC, WHMIS, and resort safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

·         Clean and sanitize bathrooms and assigned common areas

·         Sweep, mop, wash floors, and clean fixtures, toilets, countertops, and dispensers

·         Replenish supplies (soap, toilet paper, paper towels)

·         Empty garbage and recycling and dispose of waste properly

·         Perform light housekeeping, dusting, and window cleaning as required

·         Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards

·         Document daily cleaning tasks as required

·         Report safety concerns, maintenance issues, or supply needs to the General Manager

·         Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and use PPE as required

Qualifications

·         Knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitation practices

·         Comfortable handling cleaning chemicals (WHMIS an asset; training provided)

·         Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently

·         Professional, positive, and team‑oriented attitude

·         Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred

·         Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Physical & Working Conditions

·         Physically active role involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 30 lbs)

·         Indoor work with occasional outdoor exposure

·         May include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays
