We are looking for a motivated and organized HR Generalist/Recruiter to join our team. Reporting to the HR Manager, this full-time, in-office role focuses on high-volume recruitment across Atlantic Canada while supporting daily HR operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, solutions-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Experience with immigration processes is an asset.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Responsibilities:

Lead full-cycle recruitment across various roles and locations in Atlantic Canada, including posting, screening, interviewing, onboarding and offboarding.

Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide recruitment strategy support.

Maintain job descriptions, requisitions, and applicant tracking documentation.

Coordinate onboarding and orientation activities to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.

Experience managing a corporate Indeed account and LinkedIn recruiter. 

HR Generalist Responsibilities:

Support employee relations matters, including assisting with performance discussions and documenting HR-related issues.

Conduct or support workplace investigations related to policy breaches, misconduct, or other employee concerns.

Assist with Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) claims, return-to-work programs, modified duties, and communication with case managers.

Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation to managers and employees.

Maintain accurate employee files, HR records, and compliance documentation.

Contribute to HR reporting, policy development, and various HR projects.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

5+ years of HR experience, including recruitment and generalist responsibilities; experience supporting multiple locations is an asset.

Experience conducting or assisting with workplace investigations.

Experience managing WCB claims, modified duties, or return-to-work plans is an asset.

Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation; familiarity with Atlantic Canada preferred.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently in an in-office environment and manage competing priorities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Experience with applicant tracking systems.

Experience with immigration-related processes and documentation is an asset.

Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
