GP Deckhand with BWR (Relief/Casual)

Bay Ferries Limited is currently recruiting GP Deckhands for casual positions working on MV Fundy Rose, a year-round ferry service across the Bay of Fundy between Digby, Nova Scotia and Saint John, New Brunswick.

This is a casual, unlicensed position and may lead to a full-time position.

Required certifications:

• Valid Candidate Document Number (CDN#)
• Valid Seafarers Marine Medical
• STCW's 6.1, 6.2, 6.3.

Desired qualifications:

• Bridge Watch Rating Certificate. (BWR)
• Experience in the passenger ship industry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven track record of safe operations.
• Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a just-cause safety culture.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.

The following would be an asset:

• Passenger Safety Management
• Class 1 Drivers license
