We are looking a Restaurant Expo to join our team at CONRAD'S Eat Drink Local at our Liberty and Kearney locations! CONRAD'S Liberty is an 10 minutes north of Downtown Kansas City and CONRAD’S Kearney is 20 minutes. We are looking for someone who can help expedite in a fast-paced, high-volume, scratch-kitchen.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Expedite Orders: Collaborate closely with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient and accurate preparation and delivery of food orders to customers.

Quality Assurance: Inspect dishes for accuracy, presentation, and overall quality before they are served to customers, maintaining the high culinary standards of Iron Horse Bar and Grill.

Order Accuracy: Verify that orders match customer requests, including any special instructions, dietary preferences, or allergen considerations.

Timing Management: Coordinate the timing of food delivery to ensure that all items on a particular order are served together and at the appropriate temperature.

Communication: Maintain clear communication with the kitchen team, servers, and bartenders to address any issues, modifications, or last-minute changes to orders.

Attention to Detail: Ensure that each dish is garnished and plated according to the restaurant's specifications, contributing to the overall visual appeal of the food.

Efficiency: Work in a fast-paced environment, keeping up with the high volume of orders while staying organized and composed under pressure.

Adaptability: Be ready to assist in various tasks beyond expo duties, as needed, to contribute to the smooth operation of the restaurant during busy times.

Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized expo area, adhering to sanitation and safety guidelines.

Team Collaboration: Foster a positive and cooperative working relationship with the entire team, promoting a unified and enjoyable work environment.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as food expo, line cook, or kitchen support, is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

  • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to stay composed under pressure.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to upholding food quality and presentation standards.

  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with both kitchen and front-of-house staff.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and assist in various tasks as needed.

  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

  • Must be a team player with a positive and collaborative attitude.

 

Compensation:

  • $18 per hour
