Inn at the Forks is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Hotel Executive Sales Manager to lead our hotel’s sales efforts across corporate, group, and social markets. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in hotel sales and a passion for building lasting client relationships.
Inn at the Forks is a sleek and stylish hotel set in The Forks historic site with guest rooms that feature a modern design, and some suites have waterfront views. SMITH is a contemporary restaurant featuring locally sourced ingredients, and Riverstone Spa is a full-service spa, both located within the hotel.
Position Summary:
The Hotel Executive Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through
proactive sales strategies, strong client relationship management, and securing
new business across corporate, group, and event markets. This role requires a
strategic, results-driven leader who can identify opportunities, negotiate
contracts, and maximize hotel occupancy and revenue. The successful candidate
will also be a strong departmental leader who is willing to actively engage in
day-to-day operations, learn the hotel’s systems, and develop a solid
understanding of the property to effectively support and guide the team. Strong
communication skills, industry expertise, and a proven track record in hotel
sales are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in corporate, group, and social markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to maximize repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Conduct site visits, presentations, and outside sales calls to showcase the hotel’s offerings.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries, prepare compelling proposals, and negotiate contracts to secure bookings.
Revenue Management & Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with the Sales Team and Revenue Management to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets and revenue goals.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine sales approaches and capitalize on opportunities.
Client & Event Coordination
- Partner with the Banquet and Events team to ensure flawless execution of group bookings.
- Assist with the coordination of events, meetings, and conferences as needed.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to enhance guest satisfaction and brand loyalty.
- Ensure client specifications and expectations are consistently met, and address any issues promptly.
- Maintain clear communication with all hotel departments to optimize operational efficiency.
Administrative & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and contract details in CRM software.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management review.
- Represent the hotel at networking events, tradeshows, and industry functions.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for sales processes.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Proven ability to generate, negotiate, and close new business opportunities.
- Strong prospecting, lead-generation, and relationship management skills.
- Expertise in contract negotiation and revenue optimization.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel sales, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in hotel sales systems such as Delphi, Opera, or similar CRM/PMS platforms is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
