Administrator Job Description
John Ross & Sons Ltd. Is a fourth generation, family owned, scrap
metal recycler. The company is the largest scrap metal recycling facility in
Atlantic Canada and has been in operation for over 70 years, primarily in
Halifax. John Ross & Sons Ltd. Specializes in purchasing and processing all
ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals.
We are currently seeking an experienced, upbeat, and positive Corporate Administrator to join our Human Resources team at our office in Bayers Lake, Halifax!
Responsibilities
· Track and document immigration program data
· Organize and track employee/company certifications and renewals
· Oversee all onboarding for new employees with documentation policy sign-off and online Training
· Add new employees to internal system and make changes to existing employee information when needed
· Organize all supporting HR documents in digital and paper filing systems
· Create meeting agendas and meeting minutes for Health and Safety Committee
· Oversee employee engagement initiatives
· Respond to internal and external inquiries directed to HR team
· Provide assistance to the HR/Safety team as needed

Other
administrative tasks as required
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in administration
Excellent written and verbal communication
Highly skilled with Microsoft Office
· Knowledge of LMIA an asset (but not required)
HR experience an asset
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects successfully in a fast paced and changing environment.
· Be an expert in organizing documents
