X-Ray Technician
Honeycomb Medical Group is a primary care practice with four offices in Memphis, Tennessee, and branches in Holly Springs, Mississippi. Honeycomb Medical Group specializes in providing personalized healthcare for adults of all ages. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be part of an ambitious team with great potential to grow. The X-Ray Technician helps providers with the delivery of patient care, providing limited X-Ray radiological services in primary care clinical office setting. In addition, the X-Ray Technician will provide routine limited scope X-Rays and cast care providing safe and supportive clinical patient care for providers ensuring excellent patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Communicate with patients and assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed
- Prepares and maintains exam and treatment rooms, cleaning after patient discharges to ensure a clean and sanitized environment. Maintains supplies inventory and ensures patient care equipment is clean and properly functioning, reporting defective equipment and supplies to the manager
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce images for diagnostic purposes
- Documents clinic visit, observations, and related activities. Reviews and prepares medical records as directed
- Ensure radiology procedures and workflows are followed
- Responds to medical emergencies and administers first aid as appropriate
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules
- Performs other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- One (1) year of experience as a licensed American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (Required)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements:
The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. The physical requirements of this position are medium work - exerting up to 75 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50-75 lbs. of force frequently. The X-Ray Technician is required to have close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform an activity, such as assessing patients, and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading. Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact. Exposure to patient body fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials.
