Worship Leader
JOB SUMMARY
The Worship Leader will lead worship for weekend gatherings at satellite campus and during the week at Central campus as assigned. The Worship Leader will be expected to recruit, audition, and develop worship leaders and musicians at their respective campus. They will seek to not only equip their team practically, but to shepherd and disciple them in their walk with Jesus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Plan, coordinate, and lead weekend services on Central campus and other campuses as needed
- Participate in creative meetings
- Lead worship for gatherings as assigned, including but not limited to: weekend gatherings, student and college gatherings, funerals, monthly staff worship meetings (P&P) and special events as needed
- Attending and contributing to meetings for weekend services, special events, etc.
- Developing thoughtful worship sets for gatherings
- Develop the next generation of worship leaders & empower them to lead
- Assist with weekly satellite campus and central campus tasks
- Train/develop team members and volunteers
- Host guest artists
- Coordinating with other CBC ministries to support their events
- Other duties as assigned
COMPETENCIES
- Musical and vocal ability to lead worship
- Ability to sing in Spanish and English
- Possess strong communication skills in the English language (verbal and written)
- Ability to maintain professional relationships
- Possess strong attention to detail
- Must possess intermediate computer skills using applications such as Ableton, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, ect.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, work independently, multitask, and produce results in a high stress environment
- Excellent developer of people with experience developing staff and volunteers
- A thoughtful leader who makes decisions that reflect the vision and values of the organization
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position (40hrs). Days and hours of operation are scheduled any time Monday -Sunday. Working weekends and evenings will be required as job duties demand. This role may be asked to travel in and out of town for conferences, camps, etc.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to do the following:
- Must have good or corrected vision as well as effective peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must have good manual dexterity and be able to use repetitive motion of the hands and arms
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
- Must be able to move efficiently on stage for 20 minutes to 1 hour
- Must be able to stand for an extended period of time
- Must be able to move about inside the office and storage rooms, caring equipment up to 90lbs
- Must be able to frequently and effectively communicate in both written and verbal form
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Highschool Diploma or GED (required)
- 1-2 years leading worship
- Previous experience leading teams (preferred)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Duties are performed in a variety of settings to include, outside, office and technical settings where the work and general environment may be fast-paced and hectic at times. Therefore, it is essential that the employee can effectively handle the normal anxieties associated with the job and manage multiple projects in service-oriented environment. Environmental noise levels are minimal.
