Overview:
Struction Solutions is seeking skilled Welders to support projects across the state of Louisiana. The ideal candidate will have proven experience performing structural and/or pipe welding in compliance with applicable codes and standards. This position may require travel throughout various parishes and offers opportunities for consistent fieldwork, competitive pay, and long-term project assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various types of welding, including MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-core, on steel and other metals.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine project specifications.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures, components, and equipment.
- Conduct inspections and ensure all welds meet quality, safety, and structural standards.
- Operate welding and cutting equipment safely and maintain tools in good working condition.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet project timelines.
- Adhere to all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Certification or formal training in welding technology (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional welding experience in construction, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficient in multiple welding techniques and materials.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Must be willing to travel and work at various project sites throughout Louisiana.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working on public works, transportation, or infrastructure projects.
- AWS or ASME welding certification(s).
- Prior work with municipal, state, or federal contracts.
