Welder

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder for one of our clients in the Lafayette, GA area. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC) to fabricate and assemble metal structures and components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to ensure precise execution of projects.
• Operate welding equipment including plasma cutters, welding machines, and press brake machines.
• Perform machining tasks to prepare and shape materials for welding.
• Conduct quality control inspections to verify welds meet required specifications.
• Repair and restore damaged metal components through welding or other methods.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as a welder or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Proficiency in multiple welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and ARC.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with a variety of metals and their properties.
• Experience with pipe threading techniques is a plus.
• High attention to detail, ensuring precision in all tasks.
• Capable of safely operating machinery such as press brake machines, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Strong physical stamina, with the ability to bend, lift, and stand for extended periods.
