We are seeking an experienced, friendly and professional Bartender to join our team at the Hilton Garden Inn BHAM SE Liberty Park. The bartender will run the bar and serving operations for the HGI Bar and Grille each evening from 4-10pm. The successful candidate will have the experience necessary to craft standard and exclusive Hilton cocktails (recipes provided), provide excellent customer service, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. At times, the Bartender will be asked to assist with meeting room guests’ beverage needs and banquets. JOB SUMMARY

Would you like to welcome our guests to our Lobby Restaurant each evening with a smile, delivering excellent customer service and providing an enjoyable dining experience? If so, being our Bartender may be the job for you! Our Bartenders and F&B Team ensure that our guests are satisfied and will return for another awesome experience with us!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consistently offer professional, friendly, and attentive service to guests; interact with guests and answer questions that guests may have pertaining to their dining experience; become familiar with our hotel, services offered, hours of operation, nearby places of interest, etc.
- Set up and maintain the bar each evening by following the hotel franchise guidelines; be familiar with menu items and beverage choices
- Close the bar each end of shift; replenish and restock bar items to prepare for the next day; communicate with hotel management regarding inventory of all bar products and any additional feedback
- Maintain cleanliness of work area throughout the shift that meet the county health codes and the hotel quality assurance requirements; practice clean-as-you-go procedures for bar, dining and preparation areas
- Comply with sanitation regulations, guidelines and safety standards pertaining to food products; protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety guidelines
- Perform other tasks as necessary or required to meet or exceed guest satisfaction
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
· Previous experience in the hospitality industry (preferred)
· Previous experience as a Bartender (strongly preferred)
REQUIRED SKILLS
· Must be flexible to work varied schedules, primarily weeknights
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Ability to listen attentively
· Must have the physical ability to walk, bend, and stand for long time periods
· Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
· Must adhere to grooming and appearance standards in alignment with uniform
